Plains Beautification Days

Plains Beautification Days happen twice a year (spring and fall). On these days, the town comes together to clean up around town and residences, build relationships, and lend a helping hand to a neighbor in need.

Volunteers of all ages make these events possible. Join us for a day of work ranging from yard cleanup to hauling debris and trash. We run this event on the 3rd Saturday or May and September.

Next Beautification Day

·         Date: September 20, 2025
·         Time: 9am - 4pm
·         Focus on yard cleanup (no appliances or larger trash items)
·         To bring*: water, weather appropriate clothing, work gloves, yard tools (rakes, clippers, garden tools), mower, bucket, pickup truck
·         Meet at the city yard/fire department (the corner of 5th Ave and 1st St)
·         We are especially looking for volunteers with a truck/trailer

 

Lunch will be provided

 *All tools are optional, we will have items to share for the work day
